Graham plays its final non-district game Friday with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Newton Field against Lake Worth. The Steers are 2-2 after a 50-15 loss at Decatur last week, when three turnovers proved costly. Senior quarterback Jace Gill passed for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 100 yards.
Lake Worth is 0-4 and coming off a loss to Lake Dallas. The Bullfrogs have scored only 31 points this season.
The Lady Blues began District 6-4A volleyball play this week. They faced Brownwood on Tuesday and host Glen Rose on Friday. Graham is 24-6 after splitting last week’s matches, defeating Abilene Christian and losing to Wichita Falls Memorial. The Lady Blues are ranked No. 13 in the Class 4A state poll.
Graham cross country competes Wednesday in Dublin.
