Paradise is growing, very slowly, but with a little over 800 people, this Wise County town is tight-knit, values-driven, and proud. Although small, the Paradise Panthers athletic organization is highly valued and respected amongst the community and throughout the county.
School pride runs deep throughout the whole town, on a fall Friday night you can find everyone in the stands wearing green and cheering loudly for the home team, win or lose, week after week. In Paradise, it’s more than a game, it’s one enormous faith driven family.
Football Head Coach and Athletic Director for Paradise ISD, Tommy Koch, talks about what makes Paradise so different from everywhere else and unique is that, Paradise is “a community that really puts God first and faith is important here” and continues on to say that he loves coaching at Paradise because “you’ll go into the coaches office and find five, six, seven bibles on the coach’s desk, so you have a lot of high quality men who want to win.”
In Paradise, sports are simply a part of the culture and built around the mission of developing exceptional character in young men and women.
