GRANBURY, Texas — The 2025 football season begins Friday for the Pirates as head coach Bobby Allison enters his second year leading the program.

Granbury looks to rebound after a 1-9 finish in 2024. The Pirates will travel to Waco ISD Stadium to face the Waco Lions, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Waco also struggled last year, finishing 2-8.

KHITS 95.5 will remain the radio home for Pirate football this season, with a new broadcast team featuring Clayton Neville on play-by-play and John Hampton providing analysis. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m.

In volleyball, the Lady Pirates went 6-3 in their own tournament over the weekend and now stand at 8-11 overall. They travel to Wichita Falls Legacy on Tuesday before competing in the Wolfforth Frenship tournament Thursday through Saturday.

On the cross country course, Granbury senior Gannon Dolan captured the boys individual title at the Burleson Centennial Invitational this past Saturday.
