FORT WORTH, Texas — Eagle Mountain faces a major test Friday when it travels to Wise County to meet Paradise. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The Knights enter 1-1 after falling 34-25 to Grandview last week in their home opener. The game was close through three quarters before the Zebras pulled away with three fourth-quarter touchdowns.
Senior running back Terry Starks continued his strong start, rushing for 231 yards. Through two games, he has already surpassed 400 yards on the season.
Paradise, ranked in the top three of the Class 3A Division I state poll, presents a difficult matchup. The Panthers have scored 128 points in their first two games, blowout wins over Gainesville and Godley.
In volleyball, the Lady Knights are beginning District 7-4A play this week after finishing non-district at 17-11. Eagle Mountain defeated Paradise last week, faced Krum on Tuesday, and will travel to Burkburnett on Friday.
