SPRINGTOWN, Texas — Pojo football will look to keep its unbeaten start going Friday when the Porcupines host Kennedale at Porcupine Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Springtown has rolled to a 2-0 start in 2025, including a 36-7 victory at Graham last week. The offense racked up more than 430 yards as junior quarterback Kaine Hill accounted for all five touchdowns. Hill threw for 152 yards and two scores while rushing for 131 yards and three more. Kennedale enters at 1-1.

In volleyball, the Lady Pines opened District 7-4A play this week ranked No. 13 in the Class 4A state poll. Springtown pushed defending state champion Decatur on Tuesday before falling short on the road. The Lady Pines, now 28-7 overall, will visit Krum on Friday.

The cross country program competed Thursday at Haltom after strong results last weekend in Decatur. The Lady Pines captured the girls team title with sophomore Madelyn Walker winning the individual crown. The boys finished second.
