FORT WORTH, Texas — The Saints will finally get their home opener Friday night when they host Prosper Richland at McNair Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
All Saints enters 2-0 after last week’s weather-shortened 28-21 win at Plano Prestonwood Academy. The Saints led in the third quarter when storms rolled through, halting the contest.
Quarterback Gavin Beard threw for nearly 200 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for a score. Receiver Hatton French posted a 100-yard game, and Jayton Briles returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Friday’s matchup brings in a different kind of opponent. Prosper Richland, the newest school in Prosper ISD, is playing its first varsity schedule. The Raiders enter 0-2.
In volleyball, the Lady Saints returned to the court after their Hawaii trip, where they went 3-3. They improved to 11-4 with a win over Blum on Tuesday and will face Universal Academy on Friday. TAPPS play begins Monday at home against Fort Worth Christian.
