KERENS, Texas — Kerens moved to 2-1 last Friday with a 47-0 shutout of Elkhart. Quarterback Isaiah Jordan threw for 164 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 122 yards and another score. Malachi Jordan had 115 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just two carries and added a 67-yard receiving score.
The Bobcats aim for a 3-1 start Friday at 1-2 Dawson. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Dawson fell 38-6 to Rosebud-Lott last week.
Lady Bobcats volleyball is 10-13 overall. Two weeks ago, Kerens lost to Kemp but defeated Covington. They hosted Dawson on Tuesday and will play Oakwood at home Friday to close the non-district season.
Kerens cross country teams run Wednesday at Axtell.
