MILDRED, Texas — Mildred travels Friday to Winnsboro to face Clarksville in a 7 p.m. kickoff. Both teams are 3-0. This is a return matchup from last year’s meeting at East Texas A&M. The Eagles are coming off a 34-13 home win over Blooming Grove.
Junior quarterback Luke McKendree threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Trent Harris rushed for 97 yards and two scores and added 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. Mildred’s defense forced three turnovers. Clarksville is coming off a 29-7 victory over Bogata Rivercrest.
Lady Eagles volleyball had one match this week, defeating Oakwood on Tuesday. The team entered the week 18-9 and last week topped Palmer and Trinidad. District 21-2A play begins next Tuesday against Cross Roads.
