FORT WORTH, Texas — Brock left little doubt on Thursday night at Scarborough-Handley Field Stadium, overpowering Fort Worth Southwest 69-0 to move to 4-0 on the season.

The Eagles dominated from the opening snap, scoring six first-half touchdowns and leading 41-0 at halftime. Junior quarterback Holt Frazier (#3) carved up the Raiders’ defense, throwing for 261 yards and multiple scores. Senior wide receiver and cornerback Colt Matlock (#7) was on the receiving end of several of those throws and found the end zone twice.

Brock’s defense was equally overwhelming, forcing three fumbles and picking off two passes. One interception was returned for a touchdown in the first quarter, setting the tone for the shutout. By the end of the night, the Raiders managed only a handful of first downs while Brock’s front seven consistently pressured quarterback Zachariah Cain (#7) and limited running back Cameron Lynch (#20).

In the second half, Brock kept its foot on the gas. Frazier connected on a 30-yard touchdown pass early in the third quarter, and the defense continued to deliver, forcing a fumble that was returned for another score to make it 63-0 late in the quarter. A long defensive return in the fourth sealed the program’s first shutout of the year and cemented one of the largest margins of victory in school history.

Head coach Billy Mathis credited his team’s focus and preparation. “We were heavy favorites in this game, but the talk was about focusing on us and playing every play like it’s the most important one,” Mathis said. “Our defense is playing fast and fierce, and when you know your job, you can go out and light people up.”

Frazier said the offense found its rhythm against a different look from Southwest’s defense. “I think it’s amazing,” Frazier said. “Our defense really turned it up tonight. Seeing a different type of defense helped me expand my mind and keep working.”

For Matlock, the team-first performance stood out. “The shutout was one of the most important things,” he said. “We haven’t gotten one yet, so this was big for us. Everyone loves the game, and we’re going out to compete this year.”

Brock fans traveled well, filling a the entire visitors’ side despite the distance. As the final seconds ticked away, the Eagles stood together in victory formation, celebrating their first shutout of the 2025 season and extending their unbeaten start.
