Mineral Wells fell to 35-21 at home to Quinlan Ford last Thursday. The Rams are 2-2 through the non-district portion of the 2025 season. Mineral Wells trailed 21-14 at halftime and could not find an answer in the second half while relying on third-string quarterback Javon Johnson.
The final non-district game is Friday at home against 1-3 Godley. Kickoff is 7 p.m. The Wildcats are coming off a 48-7 win over Waxahachie Life.
Lady Rams volleyball begins District 6-4A play this week. They travel to Glen Rose on Tuesday and return home to face Stephenville on Friday. Mineral Wells is 10-15 overall after a tough week with losses to Azle and Lindsay.
Cross country teams run Thursday at Decatur.
