The Cleburne Yellowjackets (2-3) host the Midlothian Panthers (3-2) on Friday in their District 7-5A home opener at the Rock Pile. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
The Yellowjackets dropped their district opener 16-14 at Centennial last week. Malachi Cunningham scored on a 4-yard run late in the fourth quarter, but Cleburne could not get the ball back.
The Panthers lost their district opener 23-21 in triple overtime to Joshua.
Lady Jackets volleyball entered the week on a three-match winning streak. They beat Mansfield Summit and Everman last week and started 11-17 and 3-3 in District 8-5A. Cleburne hosted Arlington Seguin on Tuesday and travels to Centennial on Friday.
Cleburne’s boys and girls cross country teams both placed fourth at the Granbury meet last Friday.
