The All Saints Saints moved their matchup with Midland Christian from Friday to today at McNair Stadium to avoid the heavy weather forecasted for Friday. The game serves as a battle for the TAPPS District 1 lead.

All Saints entered the contest 7-0 overall and 2-0 in district play, riding a 21-game winning streak. Midland Christian came in 5-2 and 2-0. A victory will officially clinch a playoff spot for the Saints.

Last week on the South Plains, All Saints held off Trinity Christian-Lubbock in a hard-fought game that went into the fourth quarter. The Saints’ offense managed just over 200 yards, but the defense delivered with three takeaways, including Hudson Harbuck’s 48-yard fumble return for a touchdown. The defense also added a safety in the win, a strong example of complementary football.

In volleyball, the Lady Saints wrapped up TAPPS regular-season play Thursday against Coram Deo Academy after sweeping Grace Prep on Tuesday. All Saints entered the week 23-5 overall and 12-1 in TAPPS play, tied with Southwest Christian atop the standings. Coverage of Saints athletics can be heard on 95.9 FM.
