Granbury senior Gannon Dolan capped off an impressive cross country season with a strong showing at the UIL Class 5A state meet last Friday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
Dolan completed the 5K course in 16:51, placing 87th in a competitive field of more than 150 runners. Congratulations to Dolan on an outstanding senior campaign.
On the football field, head coach Bobby Allison’s second season at the helm concludes Friday as the Pirates travel to Brewer for their season finale. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in White Settlement, with coverage on KHITS 95.5 FM. The pregame show begins at 6:30 with Clayton Neville and John Hampton on the call.
Granbury enters the game 2-7 overall and 1-6 in District 3-5A, while Brewer sits at 6-3 and 4-3 and needs a win to clinch a playoff berth.
Last Friday, the Pirates fell 43-19 to Denton on senior night. Quarterback Austin Reeves threw three touchdown passes in the loss.
