All Saints opens the TAPPS Division II playoffs Friday night at McNair Stadium, hosting Grace Prep of Arlington in a 7 p.m. bi-district matchup. The Lions enter the postseason at 6-3.
The Saints carry a 24-game winning streak into the playoffs after completing their second consecutive perfect regular season. All Saints closed the year at 10-0 overall and 5-0 in TAPPS District I following a 58-22 win over Southwest Christian last Friday.
The Saints broke open what was a 28-14 halftime lead with a dominant 30-point third quarter. For the season, All Saints outscored its five district opponents by an average margin of 46-20, showcasing the program’s consistency on both sides of the ball.
On the volleyball court, the Lady Saints continued their strong postseason run by sweeping Trinity Christian-Lubbock in the regional round last Saturday in Clyde. Now 27-5, they advanced to Thursday’s TAPPS state semifinal in Waco against Southwest Christian, a familiar foe that split the two regular-season matchups with All Saints. The Lady Saints hoped to punch their ticket to Friday’s state championship match.
