All Saints moved one step closer to a return trip to the TAPPS 5A Division II state championship game, defeating district rival Fort Worth Christian 38-21 on Friday at Grapevine’s Mustang-Panther Stadium. The Saints remain unbeaten at 12-0, extending their winning streak to 26 games.

All Saints led 24-14 at halftime and controlled the second half to keep the Cardinals at arm’s length. Quarterback Gavin Beard delivered another standout performance, throwing for 365 yards and five touchdowns. Beard has now surpassed 3,300 passing yards on the season with 42 touchdown passes.

Hattan French hauled in two of Beard’s scoring throws, while Gabe Starling added a 100-yard receiving effort.

The Saints now advance to face Austin Regents in the TAPPS semifinals, a rematch of last year’s playoff meeting, which All Saints won 42-26. Regents enters at 12-0 after a 48-15 win over Midland Christian. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday in McGregor.
