Bridgeport’s girls basketball team is aiming to bounce back this week after dropping two straight road games. The Sissies, now 7–4, are in the early stages of development under head coach Darryn Shearmire as a largely new roster continues to come together. Bridgeport fell 64–44 at Class 5A Richland on Friday after suffering a narrow 41–40 loss at Nocona earlier in the week.

The Sissies return home Tuesday looking to reset against Mineral Wells before heading right back to Nocona for tournament play Thursday through Saturday. Despite the recent setbacks, the Sissies continue to show promise defensively, averaging more than 12 steals per game.

On the boys’ side, Bridgeport is coming off a solid showing at the Venus tournament, where the Bulls earned double-digit wins over Dallas Spruce and Fort Worth Poly. With no early-week games scheduled, the Bulls will shift their focus toward the Poolville tournament, set for Thursday through Saturday.

Both programs look to build momentum as they continue navigating a busy December slate.
