Cleburne girls basketball is rolling into December with momentum after a dominant week on the court. The Lady Jackets delivered lopsided wins over Alvarado and Class 6A Mansfield to push their record to 9–5 and extend their winning streak to three games.
Last Tuesday, Cleburne overwhelmed Alvarado in an 88–13 rout, building a 44–7 halftime lead before stretching it to 70–8 after three quarters. The Lady Jackets followed that with a 40–23 victory Friday over Mansfield, showcasing continued defensive pressure and balanced scoring.
Cleburne returns home Tuesday to host Glen Rose before opening District 8-5A play Friday at Mansfield Summit.
The Jackets boys team sits at 5–8 after competing in Abilene’s Key City Classic over the weekend. Cleburne went 1–3, picking up a 57–41 win over Lubbock Coronado, with two of the losses coming by single digits.
The Jackets now hit the road for a pair of games this week, Tuesday at Benbrook and Friday at Granbury, as they look to snap a four-game skid and build consistency heading into mid-December.
