Krum began the tournament with a 58–51 victory over Class 5A Richland, followed by a convincing 56–35 win against Sanger. The Bobcats, considered a Class 4A state contender, entered last week ranked No. 22 in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 4A poll.
The season continues Tuesday with a road trip to Gainesville. Krum then returns home Friday to host Kennedale.
On the girls side, Lady Bobcat basketball is set to open the December portion of District 7-4A play Tuesday against Springtown. Krum enters district competition with an 8–9 record following non-district action.
The Lady Bobcats endured a challenging week on the road, falling at Grapevine on Tuesday, 37–26, and again Friday at Wichita Falls Legacy, 53–33. After Tuesday’s district opener, the program will pause for the Christmas break before resuming its schedule later this month.
