Glen Rose athletics will see little change for the upcoming UIL realignment cycle, as the high school will remain in Class 4A Division II for football, according to cutoff numbers released last week.

The school reported an average daily enrollment of 613 students earlier this year, nearly unchanged from 617 in 2024. The figure sits comfortably within the Class 4A Division II range of 550 to 895 students, keeping the program well clear of Division I thresholds. The classification applies primarily to football, while other sports compete in separate districts.

Glen Rose football is completing its run in District 4-4A alongside Godley, Benbrook, Hillsboro, Venus and Dunbar of Fort Worth. Other varsity teams participate in District 6-4A with Brock, Stephenville, Brownwood, Graham and Mineral Wells.

The UIL will announce new district alignments for all Glen Rose athletics on Feb. 2, giving schools time to prepare for the 2026-27 cycle.
