Corsicana High School athletics will see little change for the upcoming UIL realignment, as the school will remain in Class 5A Division II for football, according to cutoff numbers released last week.
Corsicana reported an average daily enrollment of 1,780.5 students earlier this year, nearly unchanged from 1,774 in 2024. The figure places the school near the upper end of the Division II range, which spans 1,305 to 1,829 students. The classification applies to football only, while other sports compete in separate districts.
Corsicana football is concluding its run in District 6-5A alongside Ennis, Crandall, Midlothian Heritage, Terrell, Kaufman, Mesquite Poteet and Greenville. Other sports programs will finish the spring season facing mostly the same schools, excluding Poteet but adding Red Oak and Midlothian.
The UIL will announce new district alignments for all Corsicana athletics on Feb. 2, providing time to prepare for the 2026-27 school year.
