
NTX Cheer Squads Advance to 3A State Finals
FORT WORTH — North Texas cheer continues to shine on the state stage as three NTX programs advanced past qualifying to compete in the 3A finals at the UIL Spirit State Championship at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
In 3A Division I, Pilot Point High School and Ponder High School powered through the qualifying round to earn spots in the finals. Pilot Point is set to warm up at 7:07 p.m. before taking the mat at 7:41 p.m., followed by Ponder with a 7:28 p.m. warm-up and an 8:02 p.m. finals performance.
In 3A Division II, Jacksboro High School continued its legacy of state success by advancing to the finals, warming up at 7:14 p.m. and performing at 7:52 p.m.
All 3A Division I and Division II finals will be contested inside the arena, not the exhibit hall, as teams battle for a UIL state championship. Awards for the 3A divisions are scheduled to be presented at approximately 9:15 p.m. NTX Varsity Sports is on site providing coverage, including photos and end-of-day recaps highlighting North Texas programs on the state’s biggest stage.
