Tiger soccer is off to a 5-3 start through the first two weeks of the season, highlighted by a 9-1 blowout of DeSoto on Tuesday. Seven different players scored, including Tata Miranda, who netted one goal and added two assists, and Giancarlo Zuniga, who scored twice. The win comes after a 1-2 showing in the Waco tournament last weekend. Corsicana opens District 15-5A play Tuesday at Crandall.
Lady Tiger soccer earned its first win of the season Monday, a 4-0 victory over Carter-Riverside of Fort Worth. The Lady Tigers are 1-4-1 and also begin district play Tuesday, hosting Crandall. Last Friday’s matchup against Jacksonville was canceled.
Both boys and girls basketball teams are scheduled to play in Ennis on Friday. The Tigers are 4-13 and 1-3 in District 15-5A, while the Lady Tigers are 7-13 overall and 2-4 in league play.
