Seventh-ranked Krum boys basketball continues to pace District 7-4A, holding sole possession of first place at 19-5 overall and 5-0 in league play. The Bobcats overcame a tough challenge Friday at home against Bridgeport, trailing by as many as 10 points in the second quarter before pulling away for a 62-49 win. Earlier in the week, Krum defeated Eagle Mountain 78-55.
The first half of the district season concludes this week with games Tuesday at home against Springtown and Friday at Castleberry in River Oaks.
Meanwhile, the Lady Bobcats struggled in district play, dropping a close 49-47 decision to Bridgeport on Saturday. Krum is now 14-13 overall and 4-3 in District 7-4A at the end of the first half of league play. Earlier, the Lady Bobcats fell 55-43 at Eagle Mountain. The second half of the district season begins Tuesday at home against Springtown, followed by a trip to Castleberry on Friday.
