Glen Rose athletics took a proactive approach ahead of the winter weather forecast, moving Friday’s District 6-4A boys and girls basketball games against Stephenville up to Thursday. The adjustment was made with a wintry mix expected to arrive later Friday evening.

The Tigers entered the matchup riding plenty of momentum. Glen Rose is coming off its most impressive win of the season, a 74-59 road victory Tuesday over No. 16 Brock. The performance, particularly the margin of victory away from home, turned heads around the district. The Tigers opened 6-4A play last Friday with a 66-52 win at Mineral Wells and carried an 18-8 overall record and a 2-0 district mark into the Stephenville contest.

Lady Tiger basketball also faced Stephenville with both teams sitting at 2-2 in district play. Glen Rose entered Thursday at 17-13 overall. While the Lady Tigers dropped a tough road game at No. 3 Brock on Tuesday, 73-56, they opened district play in strong fashion last Friday with a dominant 46-24 win at Mineral Wells.
