The No. 7 Krum Bobcats and Lady Bobcats moved their District 7-4A games from Friday to Thursday last week in anticipation of arctic weather expected to impact North Texas.
The Bobcats continued their dominant run through district play, extending their winning streak to 10 games with two decisive victories.
Krum opened the week with a 76-40 blowout of Springtown last Tuesday before turning in another lopsided performance Thursday against Castleberry of River Oaks, winning 77-40.
With the pair of wins, the Bobcats improved to 21-5 overall and remained unbeaten in district play at 7-0. However, control of the District 7-4A championship race could be decided Tuesday when Krum travels to face second-place and No. 8 Burkburnett.
The Bobcats narrowly won the first meeting between the two teams on Jan. 3, edging Burkburnett 60-58 at home.
The Lady Bobcats also put together a strong bounce-back week. Krum earned a 27-22 win over Springtown last Tuesday before taking care of Castleberry on Thursday.
The Lady Bobcats now stand at 17-13 overall and 6-3 in District 7-4A, positioning themselves well in the playoff race. Like the boys, they will travel to Burkburnett on Tuesday in another key district matchup.
