Ranked 19th in the Class 6A state poll, the Weatherford Lady Roos soccer team enjoyed a strong week last week, recording shutouts over Crowley and Mansfield Legacy, 6-0 and 1-0. The Lady Roos improved to 14-1-2 overall and 6-1-1 in District 3-6A, remaining 1½ games behind district leader and No. 14 Mansfield Lake Ridge. Weatherford has one match this week, traveling to North Crowley on Friday.
The Weatherford boys soccer team has struggled this season, entering the week 3-10-3 overall and 1-6-1 in District 3-6A after losses to Crowley and Mansfield Legacy last week. The boys will follow the same schedule as the girls, hosting North Crowley Friday.
Weatherford Roos basketball concluded its season Tuesday with an 87-65 loss at Mansfield. The Roos finished 19-15 overall and 3-9 in district play.
Baseball and softball seasons are underway. Through the first two weeks, the Lady Roos softball team has a 5-4 record.
