The Boyd Yellow Jackets baseball team opened the season with a dominant performance at the JAG Metals Classic over the weekend, competing against Granbury and Saginaw. Boyd went undefeated at 5-0, scoring double figures in three games, pitching two shutouts, and outscoring opponents 54-5. The Jackets return to tournament action Thursday in the Eagle Mountain tournament, which runs through Saturday.
Lady Jacket softball is into its second week of competition, finishing the Brock/Weatherford tournament with a 2-1 record, including a 5-2 win over Brock. The Lady Jackets are now 5-2 overall. The final non-district tournament begins Thursday in Denton. Gabby Salas has started strong, hitting .389 with two home runs, matching her total from her first two varsity seasons.
Boyd basketball wrapped up its 2025-26 season Tuesday with a 63-47 loss at Ponder, finishing 18-16 overall and 5-7 in District 10-3A play.
