Cleburne Lady Jackets soccer sits in third place in District 8-5A with a 12-2-2 overall record and a 6-2-2 district mark entering the week. The Lady Jackets fell 2-1 to Joshua High School last week before rebounding with a 5-3 win over rival Burleson High School. Cleburne had an opportunity to clinch a postseason berth as early as Tuesday when it hosted Mansfield Timberview. The Lady Jackets travel to Everman on Friday.
The Jackets boys soccer team opened the week at 6-10-4 overall and 5-5 in District 8-5A. Cleburne dropped a 1-0 decision to Burleson on Friday after defeating Joshua 3-2 earlier in the week. The Jackets remain in the playoff race with two weeks left in the regular season.
Lady Jackets softball began District 8-5A play Tuesday, opening with a Johnson County slate. Cleburne played at Joshua on Tuesday and hosts Burleson on Friday. The Lady Jackets were 7-12 through their first three non-district tournaments.
Jackets baseball improved to 8-2 through the first two weeks of the season and will host its own tournament Thursday through Saturday.
