Eagle Mountain soccer is postseason-bound as both the boys and girls teams advance to the Class 4A Division I playoffs.
Knights boys soccer wrapped up the regular season Tuesday against Castleberry High School, the District 8-4A champion. Eagle Mountain entered the finale with a 10-4-2 overall record and a 6-3 mark in district play. The Knights endured a difficult stretch last week with 4-0 losses to Lake Dallas High School and Lake Worth High School, but the team will now regroup ahead of the playoffs, which begin March 19.
Lady Knights soccer also qualified for the postseason and appears to have secured fourth place in District 8-4A. Eagle Mountain entered its season finale Tuesday at Castleberry with a 6-9-3 overall record and a 2-4-3 district mark. Like the boys, the Lady Knights will compete in the Class 4A Division I bracket beginning March 19.
Lady Knights softball improved to 12-7-1 overall and 1-0 in District 7-4A. Eagle Mountain played Bridgeport High School on Monday and travels to Castleberry on Friday.
Meanwhile, Knights baseball opens District 7-4A play this week with a home-and-home series against Burkburnett High School.
