Corsicana athletics wrapped up another competitive season across multiple programs. Tiger boys soccer ended its campaign earlier than hoped, falling 2-1 at Midlothian in the finale. The Tigers finished fifth in District 15-5A with a 12-9-1 overall record and 7-6-1 in league play. They had a strong bounce-back Friday with a 4-0 win at Ennis, including a season sweep over the Lions.
Lady Tigers soccer endured a challenging season, closing with a 6-0 loss to district champion Midlothian. Their final record was 2-17-1 overall and 1-13 in league play, highlighted by a 1-0 victory over Ennis last Friday.
Tiger baseball opened the District 15-5A season with a home-and-home series against Crandall. Corsicana won the opener at Crandall, 4-0, and began district play at James G. Price Field. The Tigers enter district action at 14-1-1, following a 5-0-1 showing in last week’s tournament.
