Boyd High School’s Yellow Jackets baseball and Lady Jackets softball teams continue their dominant starts in District 10-3A play.
Boyd baseball remains undefeated at 19-0 overall and 4-0 in district play after pounding Valley View last week, 10-0 and 17-1. The pitching staff has thrown eight shutouts, allowing just 26 runs in 19 games. This week, the Jackets open a key district series with rival Paradise, hosting Tuesday before traveling 10 miles west Friday for the “Battle of Highway 114.” Paradise enters the series at 13-3 overall and 2-0 in district play.
The Lady Jackets softball team extends its winning streak to 16 games, entering the week 21-2 overall and 5-0 in District 10-3A. Boyd earned big victories last week over Valley View, 13-0, and Ponder, 10-1. The Lady Jackets host Paradise Tuesday and Whitesboro Friday in district play.
