The Decatur boys soccer team advanced to the Class 4A Division I Region I Championship but fell just short, losing 4-3 to Lake Dallas in Argyle Tuesday. Decatur had built a 2-0 halftime lead before Lake Dallas rallied with four second-half goals. The Eagles reached the championship game with a 3-2 win over San Angelo Lake View in the area round on March 24, followed by a 2-0 victory against Waxahachie Life in the regional semifinals. The program finishes its best season ever at 17-2-2.

The Lady Eagles soccer team also ended its postseason in the Region I semifinals, losing 2-0 to Waxahachie Life. Their final record for the season is 11-8.

Decatur baseball is in midseason form, riding a five-game winning streak. The Eagles opened their District 7-4A series at Burkburnett with an 11-5 win Tuesday. Decatur stands 13-6-1 overall and 5-0 in league play, with the return matchup Thursday at home.

Lady Eagles softball remains competitive in the district, starting the week 8-7 overall and 4-3 in league play. They are tied with Eagle Mountain for third place in District 7-4A as the season continues.
