The Glen Rose Tigers and Lady Tigers closed another competitive week in District 6-4A action.

Tiger baseball completed its home-and-home series against district leader Brock on Thursday in Parker County. Glen Rose struggled in the opener Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Tigers entered the series at 11-11 overall and 1-2 in district play and will next face Stephenville.

Glen Rose softball remains a force in the district, standing 16-10-1 overall and 3-2 in league play through Tuesday, good for second place, just two games behind undefeated Brock. The Lady Tigers picked up a key win Tuesday with a 5-4 victory over Stephenville before traveling to Brownwood Thursday.

In golf, Glen Rose continued its dominance at the District 6-4A tournament at Live Oak Golf Club in Abilene. The two girls teams finished first and second, with Alyssa Lester claiming the individual championship. The boys team placed second. All three teams have qualified for the 4A Region I tournament in two weeks in Lubbock.
