Tiger baseball faces a competitive finish to its District 15-5A season. Entering Thursday’s series finale against Kaufman, the Tigers were 20-3-1 overall and 5-2 in district play, locked in a four-way tie for first with Midlothian Heritage, Ennis, and Red Oak.

The week began with a 5-4 win over Kaufman on Tuesday, following an 11-1 non-district victory over West on Saturday. The Tigers rebounded after being swept by Heritage last week, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

Lady Tigers softball is also fighting for position in District 15-5A. They were 11-14-1 overall and 3-6 in league play heading into Thursday’s matchup with Midlothian Heritage. The Lady Tigers delivered a dominant 22-4 victory over Terrell on Tuesday but remain three games behind fourth-place Heritage with little margin for error if they hope to make the playoffs.

Corsicana’s boys and girls golf teams competed Wednesday and Thursday in the challenging District 15-5A tournament at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie. The boys team aims to return to the regional tournament for the second time in three years.
