Krum baseball put together a strong week, evening its record in District 10-4A play and building momentum heading into the next series.
The Bobcats picked up a 7-6 non-district win over Sanger last Saturday and followed it with a sweep of Carrollton Ranchview, 13-2 and 12-2. The victories pushed Krum to a 12-8-1 overall record and 3-3 in district play, extending its winning streak to three games. Due to the Easter holiday, this week’s district series against Aubrey was adjusted, with games set for Tuesday on the road and Thursday at home.
Lady Bobcats softball faced a challenging week, dropping both District 10-4A matchups. Krum fell to Prosper Richland, 16-0, and Lake Dallas, 9-6, moving to 13-7-2 overall and 1-3 in district play. The team looks to bounce back with games Tuesday at Ranchview and Friday at home against Frisco Panther Creek.
Krum track and field will host a meet Thursday. At last week’s Springtown meet, seniors Kassidy Forsyth and Marlie Morris led the way, with Forsyth winning the 400 meters and Morris taking first in the 100-meter hurdles.
