Mildred’s golf programs delivered a dominant performance at the District 20-2A tournament, while baseball and softball continue to excel in district play.

Both the boys and girls golf teams captured district championships last week. The boys claimed their fourth consecutive title, with the second team finishing as runner-up. On the girls side, Mildred secured its second straight championship. Each program also produced the individual medalist, as Landon Reece won his fourth consecutive district title for the boys, while Cooper Anderson took top honors for the girls. Both teams advance to the Class 2A Region III tournament next week in Jacksonville.

Eagles baseball entered the week 17-3 overall and 5-1 in District 20-2A play. Mildred opened a series against Cross Roads on Tuesday on the road, with the return game scheduled for Friday at home. The Eagles are coming off a sweep of La Poyner in last week’s doubleheader, winning 15-5 and 10-0.

Lady Eagles softball remains undefeated in district action, holding a 10-0 record and sharing the District 20-2A lead with Frankston. Mildred stands 13-9-2 overall and is also facing Cross Roads this week, following the same schedule as the baseball team.
