Mildred boys golf is back-to-back regional champions.
At Cherokee Ranch Golf Club in Jacksonville, the Eagles ran away from the competition, taking home the Class 2A Region III title on Tuesday.
Their two-day team score of 587 was 91 shots ahead of second-place Riesel. Senior Landon Reece also took home the individual title for the second straight year, shooting 10-under par.
The Eagles will now return to the state tournament April 27-28 in Austin, looking to finish on top after placing second last year.
The girls golf team is finishing up play in the Region III tournament in Jacksonville. Competition began Wednesday.
Both Mildred baseball and softball games against Frankston on Tuesday were postponed due to wet field conditions. The first games of those series will be played in Frankston on Friday, with return games Saturday at Mildred.
District championships are on the line.
