The Krum Lady Bobcats are moving on to the Class 4A Division II Region II area round after a 14-8 win over Bonham in a one-game opening-round playoff Friday. With the victory, the Lady Bobcats improve to 18-10-2 and will face Godley this week. Details are available on the school website and social media accounts.

It was a tough finish to the season for Krum baseball, as the Bobcats dropped their final two games in the District 10-4A playoff chase. On Friday, Krum fell to Lake Dallas, 5-4, in a winner-takes-all finale. A victory would have secured a playoff berth. Earlier in the week, the Bobcats lost to district champion Frisco Panther Creek, 6-0. Krum finishes the season with a 14-14-1 overall record and a 6-9 mark in District 10-4A.

The Class 4A Region I track meet is set for Friday and Saturday at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. Among the additional qualifiers, Sean Welcome will compete in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and the boys 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams have also qualified.

In golf, Krum’s Cooper Spencer is competing at the Class 4A boys state tournament in Austin, which runs through Tuesday.
