
Aledo Bearcats baseball and Ladycats softball enter this week on hot winning streaks. With the recent weather causing changes in scheduling, here’s the lookout for both teams ahead of this week.
Bearcats Baseball
Coming into this week the Bearcats are ranked first in their district, with a perfect 10-0 record.

Bearcats baseball team was set to play a best-of-3 series against the Colleyville Heritage Panthers. The schedule was originally slated to be Thursday-Saturday, then changed to Wednesday-Friday. Now, due to Grapevine High School being eliminated from the playoff series due using an ineligible player, the game between the Bearcats and the Panthers was canceled to rearrange the brackets. An update will come as soon as possible.

The Aledo Bearcats baseball team will play the Denton Ryan Raiders. All pending weather.
- Thursday, April 30 at Northwest High School, starting at 7:00 p.m.
- Friday, May 1 at Northwest High School, starting at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 2 at Northwest High School (if needed), starting at 12:00 p.m.
If there are no games Thursday or Friday due to weather, there will be a double header on Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m., with the second game following 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first, and if needed the third game will play Monday night.
Ladycats Softball
This week the Ladycats softball team come in off a win in their last game of a best-of-3 series against Birdville High School. They won the first, lost the second and won by a run rule in the bottom of the sixth this past Saturday.
The Ladycats are ranked first in their district with a perfect 12-0 record up against the Paschal Panthers who are first in their district as well, with an 11-1 record. They both come in with momentum, hoping to take home the win in a one-game winner takes all area round playoff game.
