The Eagle Mountain baseball season came to an end this past weekend in the Class 4A Division II Region I area round.
The Knights were swept by Lubbock Liberty in Clyde, falling 8-4 and 15-5. Eagle Mountain finishes the 2026 season with a 17-14 record and a 2-2 mark in the playoffs. The Knights opened postseason play by sweeping Diamond Hill-Jarvis in the bi-district round.
Despite the playoff exit, Eagle Mountain has several promising underclassmen expected to play key roles in the program’s transition to Class 5A beginning in August.
Among the players to watch heading into the 2027 season are shortstop Connor Jenkins, catcher and pitcher Brennan Hayes, utility player and pitcher Caden Lewis, and center fielder Chase Prosperi. All are expected to be part of the foundation moving forward for the Knights program.
