NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — No. 1 Aledo plays Friday at 7 p.m. The Bearcats are 3-0 and opened district play last week with a 54-7 victory. Quarterback Nash McElree threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns. Kayden Finley added 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Second-ranked Aledo volleyball extended its 26-game district winning streak with a win Tuesday. The team is 28-2 overall and 3-0 in District 5-5A. Senior night was Thursday.
Aledo cross country teams run Friday at the Nike South event in College Station.
