The No. 1 Aledo Bearcats continue their annual march through November as they appear in the regional semifinal round for the 13th consecutive season. Aledo (12-0) meets Arlington Heights (11-1) today on Black Friday in a Class 5A Division I Region I semifinal. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Crowley ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium. It marks the fifth all-time meeting between the programs, with the Bearcats winning each of the previous four.

Fans can hear the broadcast on 92.1 Hank FM, with pregame coverage beginning at 12:30 p.m. The call features Kyle Hix, Mercedes Mayer, the Deacon and the voice of the Bearcats.

Aledo enters on the heels of a dominant 42-0 victory over Amarillo Tascosa last week in Big Spring. The Bearcats engineered a pair of 91-yard scoring drives, while quarterback Lincoln Tubbs delivered a strong performance with 163 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also connected with Kaydon Finley for a scoring strike. The defense added its fifth shutout of the year.

Arlington Heights continues a historic run, reaching its deepest playoff round since 1973. The Yellow Jackets are powered by standout running back Carson James, who has surpassed 2,300 rushing yards this season.

With a regional final berth on the line, Aledo looks to extend its perfect record while Heights aims to keep its storybook postseason alive.
