Aledo softball and baseball playoffs have started, and NTXVarsitySports.com is the streaming source for all the action.

Softball’s series with Birdville is underway. It began Thursday and continues today at 7 p.m. at Birdville. A pregame show begins at 6:45 p.m. Baseball starts next week.

The Lady Cats are in a rematch of the regional final series with Birdville from 2025. Aledo enters the series at 23-9 overall, while Birdville is 16-11-1. A possible deciding Game 3 is scheduled for noon Saturday in Kennedale.

Earlier this week, the Lady Cats beat Fort Worth Country Day in a warmup game, 11-1.

District 5-5A champion Bearcat baseball closes the regular season Friday at Azle. Aledo won Tuesday at home, 3-2, and enters at 27-3 overall and 11-0 in District 5-5A.

Aledo will face Colleyville Heritage next week in the opening round of the Division I playoffs. Details are pending.

Aledo track will send a strong group to the Class 5A Region I meet next week in Lubbock.

The qualifiers include area champions Isaac Brooks in the 110-meter hurdles, Molly Garrison in the 1,600 meters and Holland Gladchuk in the 3,200 meters.
