The All Saints Saints remain in control of the TAPPS District 1 race after a dominant 45-10 win over Midland Christian last Thursday at McNair Stadium. The game was moved up from Friday due to weather concerns.

With the victory, All Saints improved to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in district play, extending its winning streak to 22 games and officially securing a playoff berth.

Quarterback Gavin Beard threw four touchdown passes to lead the offense, while the defense delivered two second-half scores, a pick-six and a fumble return to seal the win. The Saints built a 24-10 halftime lead before pulling away in the second half.

Up next, All Saints travels to Fort Worth Christian on Friday for a matchup that will decide at least a share of the district championship and the top playoff seed. The Cardinals enter the contest 7-1 overall and 2-1 in district play after defeating Southwest Christian 59-12 last week. Kickoff in North Richland Hills is set for 7 p.m.

In volleyball, the Lady Saints wrapped up the regular season at 24-5 overall and 13-1 in TAPPS play, sharing the district title with Southwest Christian. However, Southwest Christian claimed the top playoff seed by virtue of the tiebreaker. The Lady Saints will close out the week with a non-district home match Thursday against Oakridge.
