The All Saints Saints have officially secured the TAPPS District 1 championship and extended their winning streak to 23 games following a 41-21 road victory over Fort Worth Christian last Friday.
Quarterback Gavin Beard continued his standout season, throwing four touchdown passes as the Saints built a 31-7 halftime lead before cruising through the second half. All Saints improved to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in district play.
The Saints will wrap up the regular season Friday night at McNair Stadium, hosting Southwest Christian. The Eagles enter the contest 6-3 overall and 1-3 in district play. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
In volleyball, the Lady Saints begin TAPPS playoff action this week. Match details will be announced on the school’s website and social media. All Saints enters the postseason 25-5 after sweeping Oakridge last Thursday in their final non-district match.
