The sequel to the Saints’ historic 2024 campaign looked very much like a repeat, and that is a compliment of the highest order. All Saints successfully defended its TAPPS 5A Division II state championship, finishing the 2025 season 14-0 for the second consecutive year and extending its winning streak to 28 games heading into 2026.
The Saints secured the title Dec. 5 at Waco ISD Stadium with a 34-16 victory over Houston Second Baptist, a rematch of the 2024 championship game. Once again, All Saints proved it was the most complete program in the classification, controlling the game after halftime and pulling away behind disciplined execution on both sides of the ball.
Across four playoff games, the Saints won by an average margin of 19 points, underscoring just how dominant the postseason run was. Head coach Aaron Beck’s program rarely faced sustained adversity, responding consistently with balance, poise and physicality.
Now comes the next challenge, replacing a senior-heavy core that helped define this championship era. Quarterback Gavin Beard leaves behind one of the most prolific careers in program history after throwing for more than 3,700 yards and 50 touchdowns in 2025. Rising junior Cooper Griffin is among the early candidates to step into that role, but Beck and his staff will spend the offseason evaluating options.
The turnover does not stop there. All Saints must also replace its top two running backs, Burke Toler and Jourden Billings, along with its top two receivers, Hudson Reasor and Hattan French. That quartet accounted for much of the Saints’ offensive explosiveness during the title run.
While the losses are significant, expectations will not change. The Saints have built a culture that reloads rather than rebuilds, and the program enters the offseason with confidence rooted in back-to-back undefeated championships.
With a 28-game winning streak intact and another banner hanging, All Saints now turns the page toward 2026, knowing that the standard remains the same, even as new playmakers emerge to carry it forward.
