With the football season in the rearview mirror, attention now shifts to the hardwood for All Saints as both the boys and girls basketball teams prepare for a busy stretch.
The Saints were in the Snoop in Season Invitational in Dallas earlier this week. The Saints entered the tournament with a 5-8 record. The event runs through Wednesday.
Prior to the Christmas holiday, the Saints competed in another tournament and finished 2-3. During that stretch, All Saints picked up wins over International Leadership and Temple Christian of Fort Worth.
On the girls side, the Lady Saints will not participate in tournament play this week due to a demanding TAPPS district schedule later in the week. All Saints has one non-district contest scheduled, hosting Gordon on Tuesday.
The Lady Saints are 8-5 overall but opened TAPPS District 1-5A play with a narrow 31-26 loss to Grapevine Faith Christian on Dec. 12. District action continues with a challenging road trip out west, beginning Friday at Midland Christian, followed by a matchup Saturday against Trinity Christian–Lubbock.
