All Saints cemented its place among the TAPPS greats Friday night, defending its TAPPS 5A Division II state championship with a 34–16 victory over Houston Second Baptist at Waco ISD Stadium. The Saints closed the year at 14–0, securing back-to-back undefeated seasons, a feat believed to be the first of its kind in TAPPS history. Their winning streak now stands at 28 games.

The title game didn’t start smoothly, as All Saints trailed 10–7 at halftime. But as they have throughout the past two seasons, the Saints responded with championship poise. A dominant 21-point third quarter flipped control of the game, pushing All Saints ahead 28–16 and firmly in command heading into the fourth.

Senior quarterback Gavin Beard once again delivered on the big stage, throwing for 250 yards and four touchdowns despite an interception. Three of those scoring passes went to senior receiver Hudson Reasor, who capped his standout career with a big-night performance.

All Saints overcame a pair of turnovers and showed the resolve that has defined this historic run. The Saints will be celebrated as state champions once again, and perhaps as the first program in TAPPS history to finish consecutive seasons undefeated. A full wrap-up of the 2025 season comes next week.
