Boyd High School basketball resumed District 10-3A play Friday with mixed results for the Lady and Boys Jackets.

The Lady Jackets dominated Pilot Point, 51-31, improving to 10-13 overall and 2-1 in district play. The win came after a challenging stretch during the China Spring tournament prior to the New Year’s Holiday, where Boyd dropped several games. The Lady Jackets have a district bye Tuesday before traveling to Whitesboro Friday.

The Boys Jackets, meanwhile, fell 59-46 to Pilot Point in their district opener. The team struggled at the Bridgeport tournament, securing only one win — a narrow 54-52 victory over Petrolia. Boyd plays a non-district matchup Tuesday against Santo before resuming district play Friday at Whitesboro.

In football news, Boyd had six players earn all-District 3-4A first-team honors, including Maddox Parks, who was recognized both as a running back on offense and a linebacker on defense.
