Decatur has found its next girls basketball coach.
Brad Ingram was hired June 4 after most recently serving as the lead assistant coach for the Saginaw Boswell girls basketball program. Ingram was a member of the Boswell staff that won the Class 6A Division II state championship during the 2024-25 season.
Ingram replaces Drew Coffman, who left in April to become the head coach at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls. Coffman guided Decatur to back-to-back Class 4A Division I state championships in 2024-25 and 2025-26.

Meanwhile, new Decatur head football coach Cliff Watkins has finalized his coordinator positions for the 2026 season.
Casey Alexander has been named offensive coordinator after serving as Watkins’ offensive line coach at Glen Rose. The new defensive coordinator is Decatur assistant coach Mark Zimmer, who brings previous coordinator experience from other programs.
Decatur will begin fall football workouts Aug. 3.
